The new Dr. Dog album Be The Void comes out next Tuesday. “Warrior Man” embodies everything I love about the psychedelic rock genre…odd-texturey production, electric guitars, mesmerizing vocals. This whole album does that actually. Dr. Dog does classic sounding rock, today, really really well.
The album is out on February 7th, you dig?

I just got a ukulele last night! I am going to learn to PLAY this thing. Eddie Vedder’s ukulele album provides so much inspiration to learn certain songs. I just bought it and it has a booklet with all of the lyrics too. I promise not to inundate you with videos of recordings of me playing. I’ll just provide you with my youtube link every so often. You get 2 songs today because I am excited.

This one is from allllll the way back in 1996. The year I graduated high school. It absolutely still stands up today. It would make a great background instrumental piece for a scene of people doing city type stuff in the afternoon leading into the night. That’s what I see here. Or a great sneaker commercial.

This couldn’t be a more perfect song. It makes me SO happy..Junior Parker makes me so happy. He’s just talking to his dog, and to some chick and singing and stuff…that’s it. Simple, beautifully produced and written blues. Love.
