I love when artists make music inspired by and to support incredible forward thinking organizations. This particular song is off of an album that was created for the benefit of and features the children who are part of The EarthChild Project in Cape Town West Africa. The Earthchild Project’s mission is to
“create meaningful and sustainable change by providing practical skills in how to live a more balanced and fulfilling life. We focus on self-awareness, health and wellness and the environment.”
They are encouraged to connect to each other, and find ways of connecting to other communities, reaching out and teaching what they have learned. They are trained to be leaders, and to embrace diversity to create a sense of Ubuntu, which translates to “”I am what I am because of who we all are.” These are some of the most valuable lessons children can learn, I want to see all schools integrate programs like this into their curriculum.
